With white wines made from Aligoté or Chardonnay and red wines made from Pinot Noir grapes, all coming from vineyard plots that have such a wide variety of soils and different geographical characteristics …it is certainly quite a challenge to grasp the diversity of our heritage. But it is also very rewarding.

Bourgogne Aligoté

Our vines are situated in various small plots in the Côte Chalonnaise and they source the characteristic appeal of our Bourgogne Aligoté “Sable” in sandy-loam soil. A crystalline white Burgundy revealing an attractive citrus bouquet. It is crisp and elegant in the mouth.

Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise
Pinot Noir

The vineyards are east and south-east facing and source the characteristic appeal of our Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Pinot Noir in stony, shallow chalky-clay soil rich in limestone. It reveals aromas of Morello cherry, redcurrant and strawberries. It is well balanced in the mouth with silky tannins.

Grown on hillsides, the vines bearing the Montagny appellation benefit from the sun early in the day. They source all the vigour that is so typical of our Montagny from brown clay and limestone soils. A luminous white Burgundy with a floral bouquet revealing silkiness in the mouth and flavours of white-fleshed fruit.

The Givry Appellation vineyards are planted at altitudes of 240-280 metres and are east and south-east facing. They source the distinctive generosity that is so typical of our Givry wine in chalky-clay soils and limestone subsoils. With its bouquet of ripe, red fruit and moss, heightened by a touch of spice, this is a sensual and fruit-laden wine in the mouth with silky tannins.

Mercurey 1er Cru

Our in-depth knowledge of Premier Cru terroirs allows us to make a selection among them in order to faithfully express the soul of the appellation Mercurey 1er Cru. The vines source the complexity that is so typical of this wine in pebbly soils composed of very chalky white marls. Its deeply-coloured depths reveal a bouquet of raspberry and blackberry that evolve to aromas of coffee. In the mouth it is straightforward with powerful tannins.

Montagny 1er Cru
“Les Coères”

With an area covering 34 hectares, "Les Coères" is the largest named Premier Cru Climat in the Montagny Appellation. The vines are situated on a plateau and on slopes facing both north and south-east. They source the dense, mineral character that is so typical of our Montagny 1er Cru "Les Coères" in shallow soils composed of clay, blue marl and fossil-rich limestone. It reveals a complex bouquet of fruit and flowers. While in the mouth, which is both upfront and structured, it presents a blend of cooked quince and almonds.
