THE MAPS

The Côte Chalonnaise is a collection of wine-growing regions within Burgundy that produces wines with a protected designation of origin (AOC). The AOC designation is gradually being replaced by AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée). Discover the terroirs of Burgundy wines (including the Mâconnais) by tasting our finest white and red wines. While exploring the wine route, treat yourself to a wine tourism experience by visiting our cellars. Our winemakers will introduce you to the fruits of their vines, the different grape varieties of the Côte Chalonnaise: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, among others. If possible, participate in the grape harvest and stroll through the vineyards (we can suggest numerous walks). Discover the stages of production of our great Burgundy wines. The destemming of the ripe, noble grape bunches, the vinification or fermentation of the grapes, and the aging in tanks or barrels of our white and red wines. Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC or AOP) wines are available in our cellar in Buxy (Maison Millebuis), as well as in Saint-Gengoux-le-National. Our winemakers, specialists in vine cultivation, cultivate their vines in specific plots, on well-defined climats, thus offering, through tasting their wines, a very wide aromatic range, with notes of flowers, exotic fruits, dried fruits, citrus, and a pronounced minerality—a characteristic linked to the influence of the limestone soils. Millebuis is a collection of wines, the flagship of the Buxy cooperative winery, offering a selection of elegant wines and grand cuvées that pair particularly well with meats and cheeses. For an aperitif or as an accompaniment to foie gras, consider Crémant de Bourgogne, a sparkling white (or rosé) wine of great freshness that offers multiple aromas, with extremely fine bubbles.
